Around 50 pupils, together with a number of teachers who helped out in cleaning up all the school campus, including areas which were not normally cleaned up in similar activities. The first activity that was held at the beginning of C3’s 4th year experience took place at the school premises on Wednesday 4th December after school hours. Having been blessed by a week full of rain, the rising sun on that day encouraged the students to turn up for this activity. An encouraging number of around 50 students took part in the activity. Just after the school bell went off, all the participants gathered in the AVR where the C3 committe presented a meeting about C3’s aim and activities. Afterwards, all the students were split up in groups and a clean up activity was carried out in the school campus. Later on, the participants had ample time to play some football in the school grounds.

Apart from the formative sessions centred around the main theme of the live-in, the participants had the opportunity to take part in the maintenance that was being carried out regarding the refrbishment of the gym. It was a positive experience for all the members and a good prelude for the upcoming summer holidays.

The annual live-in organised for C3 volunteers who attended frequently for the activities organised by the Group, was held at the Seminary between the 19th and 21st April 2013. This year’s live-in focused on the theme of compassion, one of the main C3 values. 22 students from Year 7 to Year 11 attended this live-in and took part in the various activities that were organised: formative talks, sharing of experiences by the Salesian group SPYS, moments of prayer, socialisation and recreational time together with voluntary work that was carried over on the school premises. On Saturday morning, the students taking part in the live-in were joined by other students together with a number of ex-students of our school who took part in the voluntary activity. Some students together with a number of teachers and LSAs prepared some muffins and coconut balls, which were then sold to students, raising a sum of €175 in aid of the school library, which was then presented to the headmaster.

Info: This live-in which was organised for volunteers who attend C3's activities frequently, focused on the idea of compassion helped with the motto chosen: "God gave us two hands,one to give and one to receive." Based on both voluntary work outside school premises and team builidng sessions, apart from other recreational activities, 25 students from Yr 7 till Yr 9 who attended this live-in, could appreciate more the beauty of feeling compassionate for each other, especially when working in a group.

17/09/11 - C3 goes to gozo
Ms Dorianne Buttigieg, Mr Mark Farrugia,.Ms Odette Fsadni and Mr JohnPaul Vella accompanied a handful of students in Year 10 and 11 to spend the day in Gozo. The group helped out at 'Dar Guzeppa Debono' in Ghajnsielem following the construction and refurbishment of an annexe.
Live-in 29-31/07/11
A live-in was organised at the end of July 2011. The voluntary work group helped out in the Pasta Night which was put together by the Major Seminary.
Our voluntary work group finally got its name - C3 (compassion, commitment, communion). Its current logo was later devised in November 2011.

Several voluntary activities were organised in the scholastic year 2010/11 by our school's 'Eco-school' committee. The aim of the school clean-ups were primarily to make our school greener (by painting dustbins, clearing paths, pruning trees and bushes, etc.) and to develop citizenship values among the volunteers.
